Euthanasia isn't legal in France. This man has been a vegetable suffering from atrocious pains for 10 years, and he just wants to die, but he can't do it legally, he can't kill himself, and anyone helping him would be trialed for homicide. He's now kinda benefits from a loophole where he's technically not alive because he can't be without being plugged to various shit. In cases where maintaining life is entirely artificial, it can be considered to unplug a patient. Now he's heavily sedated, and still gets most basic hydratation and minerals, he isn't feeling anything, he's just drifting away.

Again, starving. Not lethal injection, not even just pulling the plug on life support machines. They're starving him to death. There really is no defending this even if you do support euthanasia.
