I disagree entirely. This state is beautiful and has hiking, fishing, skiing. I'm not going anywhere. Having said that, if an 8.9 just happens to trigger a tsunami that washes 99% off the useless eaters into the ocean while I'm hanging out at the cabin high up in the Sierra, well, so be it.
