I would never recommend Mein Kampf on it's own to anyone, ever. If you want to study the life of Hitler as a man and how he came to cause one of the greatest tragedies in mankind's history, then I recommend John Toland's biography on him. It takes purely neutral stance on him and you'll learn a lot about all the kinds of crazy shit that happened in Germany from before revolution that happened before the end of WW1 to the end of WW2. Pretty cool read and gives you some serious perspective on the Nazi's and how Hitler managed to go from starving artist to one of the most powerful men in history.

The problem with Mein Kampf is the second 90% of people see Hitler's name, they're going to immediately throw out the book, since they know it's forbidden. With something like TCoC, most people have never even heard of Dr. MacDonald, so they are far more likely to pick it up, if only out of curiosity.
