I'm rather confident in my own abilities and have no faith in the intelligence of the masses. So, instead of getting overly-concerned with superficial and fleeting political shenanigans, I just plan how to best benefit from them.

The primary vehicle is through equity investment. I've made decent money by anticipating the markets' reactions to both Obama's and Trump's policies.

Personally, I think the ideal government would be some kind of technocratic republic, but my opinion is irrelevant.

For that reason, things like peace, are not to be expected nor even aimed for. It's a question of how we handle inevitable human conflicts, which may or may not also have an important role to play in our development on the material level, as well as the spiritual.

Basically, the establishment of a civilisation that allows ourselves to live well and honestly without blowing away the neighbourhood.

The world I want to build will be a world where conflict still exists. Men and women will still bicker. Friends will make up and break up. Fights will happen. People will call each other faggots online and draw funny pictures of each other. People will compete. People will flirt and people will mess around in general. However, it will be comfy as fuck and these quirks of the human character will not be allowed to affect and ruin the foundations of a civilisation that aims for the stars and long term security.

The president has almost zero power. Corrupt judges and congress who are control by special interest groups, will block anything that does not fit the agenda or their donors. By the time the court battle is over it won't matter and a new president will be in office.
