Keep in mind there are an estimated 70 million citizens who aren't registered, but it might be as few as 50 million. Among these people Trump has about 35 million who approve of him. At 50% it would be higher than his approval among registered voters. But if it's only 70 million, then it's 70% approval among non-voting citizens.
Trump wants to register 1 million voters in Texas alone. There are maybe 15 million total citizens over 18 in Texas. Nationwide that would be 17-19 million new voters registered on the Republican side. Not only is it entirely doable, it would probably BTFO anything the Democrats could do.
The ABC/WAPO poll is 44% of people voting for Trump. That's out of "adults"- a sample size which indicates 250 million people. Biden gets 53%. But this includes non-citizens and the poll is clearly sampled to favor Democrats (Obama gets "most" of the credit for Trump's economy, really? lol).
