it's a conspiracy to them though, they will say it's because of patriarchy, because of bias, because of sexism, at every level in every way, no matter what you tell them, even when it's not
sometimes it is a factor, but they're basically saying they want no standard, that any woman who does the same job or career as a man, should automatically be paid the same without accounting for the market they do their career in, what businesses they work for, etc.
it sounds like it makes sense till you look at the rest of the market and see not every factor could be systemic bias because women given the same support system and backing as men do make the same usually

If someone put a gun to my head and said I had to watch women's sports other than volleyball, I'd put the barrel in my mouth and pull the trigger myself. No one watches women's sports.
