Surviving Canada Food Collapse

In this thread we discuss ways to feed ourselves during the Canadian collapse.

Today I bought a T-bone steak that was going to expire at 50% off. Hey, the more beef ages, the better it tastes, right guys?

It’s all some tiresome...

Give me a norinco 226 clone in 7.62 tok and I'll let you sleep under my carport.

Canada isn't collapsing

the food prices are normal, you just have to avoid luxuries like meat, fruit, fish, dairy, vegetables, ice cream, bread and beans

Imagine paying almost $20 for a fucking a single t-bone steak.

Attached: JUST.jpg (1176x1364, 262K)

buy bread two days before expiration I get half off at wholesale club

Tasty looking steak because Angus. True if big.

Carful you don't get a visit from the authorities for posting this

THIS I eat lentils there sooo good and filling it makes rice great

zehrs ??
where the fuck did you buy that

Also don't eat meat that's almost expired it's bad
youtube.com/watch?v=wncH4RFpA5M

I personally rather have rib eye for triple the size and half the cost.

Caledonia, near Hamilton, Ontario. Zehrs is a Loblaws store.

$9 CAD is closer to $6.75 USD
You paid just under $7/pound for expiring T-bone.
You have nothing to be proud of.

>10 dollar drop in price per pound
>66% reduction in price per pound

That shit is rotten and includes bone weight, making it technically not a ribeye either.

>Not a sale
>50% off
fucking leafs

Only In Canada do you have meat infected with parasitic worms. That's enough Jow Forums for one night.
Here have a gentleman.

Sup fellow Canuck, I usually only buy whatever meats are on sale and occasionally take advantage of 50% off stickers. It's a privilege to be able to afford meat in our economy, good thing I work two jobs and don't have to worry about owning a car, thanks Trudeau!

that food is expensive and shitty

1 kg = 2.2 lbs
37.46 unit price / 2.2
17.03 CAD = 12.94 USD (lol)
>dehrs market
>generic grocery beef is $13/lb in ontario
>imported grassfed lamb sells at that price point in america's expensive cities
>be burger
>must import non-GMO livestock

You can see in the video that the fish is labeled product of USA.

I go to the flea market. They don't have the same selection or stock but they prices are literally about half of the supermarket and it's all locally made

One of the ways I survive the collapse is to have a victory garden. We're paying 4 bucks for some California trash lettuce picked by a spic. This is Aryan grown organic.

Redpill me on Canadian prices, is shit really that expensive or just a meme?

>Zehrs

Do you live in Waterloo?

if you want to make rice filling: just mix eggs and butter into it. You can do the same thing with instant oats for breakfast: put a big scoop of butter in, two eggs, some sugar, mix it up, and pour some hot water on it. I know lots of people think raw eggs are extremely dangerous but I've never had bad experiences.

>the food prices are normal, you just have to avoid luxuries like meat, fruit, fish, dairy, vegetables, ice cream, bread and beans
Canadians are stupid sheeple. They inspire contempt but they're proud of their stupidity.

"diary of a totalitarian subject"

burger math

>not knowing about over supply
>not knowing about loss leaders so I buy other overpriced shit
If anything it's been water brined.

dumbasses are still posting this meme? holy shit. I left Jow Forums a LONG time ago because the shitposting was just too cancerous with no actual discussions. I come back just to check things out.... yep.... still posting the SAME stale meme shit from who knows how long ago.

Fucking pathetic.

Aha you from r/the_donald too? Lol! Xd

I bought two steaks for $6 yesterday. Our prices can be fucked, but don't shop like a retard and you'll be okay. There's always plenty of shit on sale at stores like freshco or no frills.

People pay top dollar for old steak. It’s just a matter of perception.

It's pretty much common knowledge that certain types of fish often have worms and that's why you cook it properly. I'm a city slicker and even know this.

>Brampton

Ya just eat bugs

if you have the space you should build some chicken coups and get some hogs. Insect farms are also not that hard. Personally, I also want to farm snails and frogs for le French cuisine.

Meat? Thats not Canadian!

Attached: 1562434765246.jpg (323x412, 40K)

You could've got that for half the price at No Frills, you yuppie retard.

I read a book by Joel Salatin on pastured poultry. Here is the movable coop I made to grow meat birds. These little brown fuckers are fed organic. Feed here in Canada is also expensive, which is bullshit because there's onions and corn planted everywhere.

Attached: IMG_20190708_194951177-1664x1248.jpg (1664x1248, 733K)

This. I saw 60 day dry-aged Tomahawk Ribeye going for $31.99/lb in Chicago last week. And your paying for a bunch of bone with that.

HONK HONK. Watch this and mock us.
youtu.be/tivay_C9ilE
Canada were so much better than Murica !
And we're nicer (because we're just spineless cowards).

Grow flax for fodder if you can, they'll process the omega fatty acids into a far more bio-available form.

Hey bro,

Yeah, I bought a house on an acre which gives me a bit of room to grow a few things. Thinking about raising a few hogs next year. Also I'm right near Lake Erie which is perch central, but I need a boat.

looks good. How do you clean the area after they shit it up?

just feed chickens crickets and dog food

>snails
Enjoy your flukes

Yeah things are bad here, meat is particularly expensive. For a 3 x 500g Steak pack you're looking at paying at least $40 for regular quality, $65 for AAA quality at Costco.

Vegetables are also expensive, unless you go to Asian supermarkets and buy Asian vegetables. If you want to eat like a Human, you're looking at a basket that costs at least $40 for basics like bread, eggs, milk, vegetables, fruit and chicken (because that's the cheapest meat).

Attached: 1494889572699.jpg (219x265, 15K)

we get a Canadian tax not a straight conversion so slightly more expensive then america. There's just a butthurt pole using a tree hugger flag spamming the meme because his visa got denied lmao

>too cancerous with no discussions
Welcome to Jow Forums newfag and how long will you be staying with us today?

Why buy or farm meat when the homelessness crisis is at such a high? You can find healthy, recently homeless people who won't be missed by their families for at least six months. Plenty of time to carve up the corpse, dispose of the evidence, and fabricate reasonable doubt.

Literally this

Dear lord

Fuck the homeless dude. We should send them all to Nunavut and make them work for their fucking food, if they die in the frost them so be it.

Attached: 1540133466477.jpg (122x125, 2K)

Thanks!

I move the coop three times a day. The ground is pretty covered and burns a little. In a week it recovers, and in 2 weeks it's incredibly green and lush from the nutrients.

the scariest thing in canada is seeing a well fed Canadians. That's because you know you've come across a cannibal.

>pricetag says $18
>$9 steak
Okay retard.

Attached: 1559187437482.gif (256x296, 28K)

Lucily for me, I was born in Canada as an Italian citizen. See flag for more info on how to survive Canada collapse.

That steak looks disgusting. Looks like something that was fetched from the back of the freezer. Theres even frost on the steak INSIDE the package.

But being a Mutt, you're already use to stuffing your gut with garbage.

Sticker says 50% off. Who's the retard now, retard?

>nearly 8 lbs of ass

Attached: meaty.jpg (1100x1526, 654K)

Feed flax whole or ground first?

Cherries are in season, anyone has a good recommendation of where to buy the nicest Cherries? thanks in advance bros

Attached: 1557185781240m.jpg (768x1024, 117K)

You think we're sending our best product to a third world country? You're lucky we send you anything, you're the mexico to the north.

Attached: 1559274380333.jpg (640x400, 78K)

I have egg laying birds but am interested in the idea of meat birds. Is it hard to kill and clean them?

Roadside stands always have the best ones.

what's the benefit to what you're doing compared to just building a shed with a cement floor and having a ton of chickens.

Attached: chickens.jpg (852x480, 91K)

In Canada, a London Broil is steak with sausage meat rolled up in it. Fucking delicious.

Pic unrelated.

Attached: IMG_20190708_192837693-1664x1248.jpg (1664x1248, 423K)

This is just a "Mad Cow Special." See the big 50% off sticker? Enjoy you new-variant CJD.

So
>not sales or loss leaders
>it's on sale
>claims sale price is indicative of prices
Alright, leaf. Not retarded at all.

Attached: 1559550949606.jpg (223x250, 6K)

The quality of the meat. How an animal is treated, raised, fed, etc. plays into the quality of the meat itself.

Attached: _MG_4235.jpg (640x428, 53K)

Organic though. Expect to pay double.

Milk prices are brutal out in Atlantic Canada though. 4l of milk is $7. In Ontario it's $4.50.

American milk is shit tho. I used to cross the border for Walmart milk. Fucking watered down melamine.

yeah, but you could sell the meat and make money. You don't have to consume it.

This is about preparing your own food, of course you want the best for yourself.

Also there is a market for non-factory farm meat that you can sell at a higher value. You won't be able to compete with those mega factory farms with a backyard shed.

I can buy these all day at HEB for $5/lb.

Attached: texasporterhouse.jpg (717x900, 90K)

I'll post a kill thread in 2 weeks when I do these birds. I build kill cones out of flashing. You put them in head down and they pass out. Slit their neck artery to bleed them out.

After, you scald them in boiling water for a few seconds and put them into a plucker. Expensive machine but worth it if u have a bit of volume.

Then gutting is easy. Cut around the asshole and neck, and pull out the guts.

Throw em into an ice bath and wa-la.

Pasturing lets them eat grass which makes a better meat. Pastured chicken fat is more yellow and full of omegas. Taste is wonderful. Plus the birds are happier and you're not stuck with a fixed structure.

Downside of the movable coop is that you can only use it during the warm months.

Egg porn.

First time I ate a pastured egg I almost gagged. I was used to bland factory eggs. Now I can't get enough.

i'll try it

Watch your cholesterol, leafbro.

How do they cut a steak like that? Not like u can use a cookie cutter...

Band saw.

Eating cholesterol doesn't cause cholesterol. Get off Jow Forums, mom.

how is his face so fat but his body still so skinny?

I actually do this kind of, the day old bread store has amazing deals.

i love natural eggs. It tastes so much better.

they are both equally unhealthy

>"Bear" tattooed on the faggot on the right.

Fucking faggots dude.

Hell yeah brother

If you raised chickens you would know that pic is full of shit. Egg yolk is not the least bit indicative of nutrition or taste, nor the living conditions of the layers.
Try different feed and you'll see. Some yolks are damn near clear.

they charge more for food in places like Brampton and Vaughn because people have more money down there near Toronto
same with remote locations like churchill, manitoba or iqaluit, nunavut because the people who fly in to work there get "remote pay" so they make like $55 dollars an hour to cover the cost it takes to ship foodstuffs out there.

if you live somewhere like say Sudbury, Ontario or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan the prices reflect what the local population makes on average.

all of these stats are recorded by the government and exploited by corporations.

Haha I make 53 a hour without going up north. Haha poor people and their ideas

How can I take advantage of this financially? How do I get black market steaks to the leafs?

Whole I believe, you can double-check if you like. This is also more for eggs than meat I think.

good to see you wasting your time on Jow Forums like a retarded NEET though instead of helping to fix your shithole country with all your big bux
