4. The charge may have been made with the help of the FBI, an organization that is one of Trump's political enemies

It also appears that Epstein was an informant for Mueller's FBI, so I'm willing to guess that the Mueller team, Barr, Comey, etc.. already know if Trump is guilty or not. Why they decided to bring this up now? who knows, maybe because Barr knew that the Russian collusion angle designed to take out Trump with no casualties wasn't going to pan out, keep in mind that Mueller had free reign to continue up until 2020. With this, they will take casualties on their side but maybe to them It's worth it.
