Honestly I'd love this. I'd shout things down at them, look over them like royalty looking at the peasants.

Because there were two groups of people with different origins and completely incompatible ways of life.
One group valued hard work and achieving progress, while the others nihilistically valued sitting around all day and doing the African community thing.
Now that the hard working group is successful everyone else realized that they have nothing but shit and want despartly to be able to simply walk over into the nicer area. They dont understand they cant do that because the communal living communist mentality is still ingrained in their head. They cant get past the question "why do they get nice shiny things and we dont." Instead of self reflecting, they scream "discrimination" and "oppression".
This is why walls will always be necessary for any group that aims go achieve great things.
