seeI always tell people. The overall COL is cheaper, some things will be more expensive (milk) some things will be cheaper (gas). They never believe me until I show them my receipts. My rent is cheaper living on base in a 4 bedroom with utilities included (and subrenting 3 rooms), than most californians could ever dream of.
You just gotta look in the right places and make smart decisions like anywhere else.

Lol, no. Doctors come here from the mainland to train, then go back to their home state when they're good enough. I live on Hawaii island, and there are literally 2 neurologists on the whole island and 1 comes from Oahu. (I have epilepsy)
