Homosexuality is a birth defect. Similar to things like Down's Syndrome, there is no cure, it is something you must learn to live with and your family must learn to accept. If you want a basic understanding of the pathology of it, look into a condition like synesthesia and how that works, where parts of the brain fuse or become confused. Homosexuality is merely a condition where you are either sexually attracted to the wrong sex, or are born with the sexual desires of the wrong sex. There is a subtle difference between the two - the former become tops and the latter become bottoms. Transgenderism is a very similar condition.
Whether it is 'wrong' is a trickier question and depends exactly what you mean by 'wrong'. Is it wrong to have Down's Syndrome? Most would argue no, though some hardliners may advocate for termination in that case. In this sense it isn't wrong to be gay, however your actions and choices as a consequence are a very different story. Having Down's doesn't justify or pardon criminal activity for instance, only diminished responsibility. In this sense the real question becomes not "Is it wrong to be gay?" but instead "Is it wrong to commit homosexual acts, or live a homosexual lifestyle?" which is a much tougher question. From a religious perspective I believe most would accept this to be a sin against both God and nature and therefore wrong. However many would also argue that what two consenting adults do behind closed doors is their business and hurts nobody, which makes it ok.
The fairest line between these points is to say that this activity is ok as long as it is kept private, and accepted by society at large as a result of a defect and therefore tolerated as a byproduct of that. So to summarise these resolutions, we can say the definitive answer is:
It is not wrong to be gay.
Homosexual acts are only wrong religiously.
Exhibiting or otherwise endorsing or normalising homosexual activity is wrong.

Areas with a high black population often have much greater problems with crime, for instance, but more than that it seems to come down to a complete lack of respect, or class. They are basically terminally depressed low iq alcoholics whose entire drive in life is to "have a great time" only they don't know how. Once every few years these obnoxious cretins will decide a new location in europe to be their new holiday pisshole (always somewhere hot and cheap), upon which they will make a pilgrimage at least once a year for their ritualistic 'megabender' where they will manage to justify stretching their usual friday night bullshit into a full week of wankered debauchery, resident-baiting and drama dialled up to 11. After which they'll return home and tell their brood what a mental great time they had because Dave drank a crab or something.
I believe Dubrovnik was their most recent sacrificial lambrini, so it would make sense Croatia is suffering them currently.
