The phrase jump the shark is based on a scene in the fifth season premiere episode of the 1970s American TV series Happy Days titled "Hollywood: Part 3", written by Fred Fox, Jr., which aired on September 20, 1977.
dont be so negative. I just found out Queen Elizabeth fucked Sammy Davis Jr. to produce...

Not that it's the US Dreamcast's fault. Just a coincidence.
1776
April 6 1917. Once the US declared war on Germany it was no longer the US of the founding fathers. Not to mention that it represents the point at which the US people lost control of their nation to the political class.

Probably the most correct answer in this thread.

1980s
1969 was literally the year that Hell opened up and spewed it's demon spawn everywhere. Truly the beginning of the End Times.
1910s was probably the peak

You are retarded. China will own the next century.

Depends on what metric. But no later than 50s.
The Wonder Years S01, or the year Risky Business takes place. One is real, the other is propped up, but both are comfy.
This. People don't seem to realize how pozzed the entire 20th Century was. Especially muh 50's.
The "Greatest Generation" and Silents did just as much if not more damage than even the boomers. We have been lied to and manipulated by our elites for so long that nobody is even aware of what they've been robbed of.
The last cool year I remember was 2000.
2001-2004 were fun, bi-polar and no rules. 2005-2008 was dark, then darker still, when conspiracies reached the 9/11 generation and they began to find the baton left by three generations of conspiracy buffs, and anxiety was like an AIDs epidemic but real. 2009-2012, the years where everyone grabbed on for dear life and anti-Christ talk wasn't completely totally schiz, 2013-2016 was the redpill correction years and the planned Woke Agenda arose like a Agenda 2030 bleeding dragon so it was ultra dangerous, 2017-2019 are a big gulp of air that can be a new dawn or a false hope, or lead to something entirely off the chart.
2020-2024 will decide the fate of everyone here, but I'd bet 20-30% of us don't make it out okay even if the rest do. But everyone one of us is caught in the maelstrom of 9/11, which was itself the starting pistol on a paradigm shift that dates back to the 1940s. Or perhaps much, much longer. Either way 2020-2024 is the Heavyweight Championship for the World. I'm not looking forward to it, but I am ready.
>We have been lied to and manipulated by our elites for so long that nobody is even aware of what they've been robbed of.
I've got to disagree. Jow Forums is the result of the offspring of the generations you mention, the descendants, who for the first time had the resources, time and savvy to connect the dots. Baby Boomers are shit but millions of them were redpilled and watched with great dismay and strife as their children were sucked into the NWO, but they had no way of explaining this without coming off as ancient and/or crazy.
Trump is the result of all these generations coming together. Epstein is truly a watermark for how far we have come. Epstein is the embodiment of four decades of more of conspiracy talk. We chased Epstein, and due to the pace of life, only now, are the other generations slowly downing to block his pass. Imagine if Joe McCarthy had Epstein on the stand. Well now he is. He doesn't have to say a word up there. His being says much of it.
I like your optimism, user. I think that true goodness will win out in the end, but things will get much darker (figuratively and literally) before they get better.
1991
early 1900s
ass end of 1970's to very early 80s.
1776
Date of the Masonic revolution.
1912 or maybe 1890
Around either Theodore Roosevelt's presidency, or further back at some point. I think Donald Trump is doing OK with what means he has to work with, but his presidency does not have America at its peak, although it is not his fault. He has inherited the disturbed America, not peak America.
Much, much darker. It can't not. Agree.
now
evolution is all that matters, not ease
if you disagree you're basically a child thats unable to cope with an ever changing reality.

Yep. 50 years ago. 1969. It's been a slow decline every since. It was the narcissism of the baby boomers (the real boomers, not Jow Forums boomers).

it seems americans were pretty butthurt over challenger, and slowly a whole heap of navel gazing culture took over
america doesn't seem to handle failure well
we wouldn't have given a fuck, making a spaceships is awesome of course you're going to fuck up every now and then

I'm not a big fan of this statistic. It's basically impossible to directly compare wealth from one epoch to another. Bums in 2019 own bits of technology that would have been literally priceless in 1970. And people in 1970 took for granted a culture that would be all but dead in 2019.

I agree, the beginning of the new normal
Sometime in the 50s I'd say.
Conservative views as standard.
Growing and expanding economy.
Dope cars.
Dating/Courting made sense
Family life was encouraged
Fun popular music culture with no commerciality
Leading the world in cool without being shit
Low regulation so you can start businesses
Only need to complete highschool and be enthusiastic to get a life long career in any chosen area
You can move to the next town and leave your old life behind if everything goes to shit.
