it is very subjective. by it's nature, it is subjective. especially literature, since there's so much interpretation happening between the author and the reader. things can be read into a piece without it 'objectively' being there. the jewish conception of art is that the subjectivity is all that matters about art. i loathe modern art, and I do believe there is an objective standard that can be argued, it's just very, very complicated to do so without opening the floodgates for overreaching censorship. but the program just skims over the topic.

i like a lot of what i read about natsoc, but i don't like how cavalier people are about how to deal with degeneracy in art. if nothing else, criticism of the state in any sense could easily be equated with 'degeneracy' against natsoc, when natsoc=/=the state.
