Honestly I don't even blame it on leftists... that was certainly a part of it, but the simpler reason is that South Park lost its edge.

What gave it the show such an advantage even as recently as 6-7 years ago, was their ability to get an episode out in a few days and to make something that could respond to a major event before basically anyone else really did anything interesting or entertaining with it. But as their production times grew longer and longer (especially with their shift to shorter seasons and season-long story arcs) they stopped being able to do that, and they became just like any other animated show that was always a few months behind in trends.

South Park got beat at its own game by social media services and sites like Jow Forums that can basically shit out gigabytes of memes and jokes and spread them across the world before the ink on a story is dry.

Youre both somewhat right yet so fucking wrong at the same time. God help your countries.
