We have to kill to eat, and if we don't eat, we die, if we don't drink water, we die, and eating the forbidden fruit means that even before original sin, Adam had to eat.

I actually probably understand the allegory more than you do, if you take the bible literally. I don't, and to me the story is about mankind migrating out of Africa, and becoming sentient. These kinds of stories were passed by word of mouth, and just like the telephone game, the words and story change from teller to teller.
