Northern Canada is pretty much the wild west. Violent crime without any arrests and people go missing all the time. Prairie provinces are particularly worse.

I notice a lot of Kiwis have a kind of square, heavy look about them. I can always tell white American tourists apart from the locals here in Nova Scotia, too, but I'm not sure why. I think they're more ethnically-mixed (more Euro nations in their makeup) than Canadians and so kind of vague looking
