Adding an "airborne" component is nothing remarkable, really.
I know of things like that but the US military and security apparatus already states they have no countermeasures to a much more effective means that is already employed in Afghanistan and Iraq. The airborne component is interesting because a shape charge falling from above is more likely to succeed than against the more heavily armored sides and bottom, the same principle as a javelin missile system. I suspect a bon carrying drone would be used on unarmored more frequently though.
