user, I’m in the same boat. I’m convinced I’ve fallen far from God. Thing is, if I’m being completely honest, I wonder how close the end is. Supposedly this whole rising tension with Iran is biblical prophecy, and many other prophecies from Revelation has been happening recently. These things coupled with the absolute clown world state of the US, and EU. Think about it. Just 5 years ago, not even half of the idiocracy going on now was in the world. The three things that conflict me most are these.
1.) I’m basically addicted to porn and masturbation. (Lust)
2.) I hate pretty much all blacks. (With the exception of a few throughout my lifetime.)
And 3.) I genuinely despise race mixing.(I wish I could marry a Japanese woman, but I don’t want to have a child; preferably would like a single mother.)

I don’t know if 3 is a sin per say, but the amount of hate that comes over me when I see or think about it is insane.

Take your time studying things. The main problem you will come to if you veer to pagan-ish or occult things is that they have a lack of theology and teleology. They are how-to guides for cool ceremonies, but they don't tell you what you are, where you come from, and what purpose your existence serves.

If you move on to better constructed religions, that leaves you with the big abrahamic ones and maybe buddhism. Buddhism gets it wrong when it tries to analyze desire and how to best it. The problem with buddhism is that you will fail and will be punished through reincarnation.

Every culture has tried to find God in their own way, most have relatively similar values (don't take others' stuff, don't kill for no reason etc). Even the Jews got it wrong, at first they thought of God as a male-female pair. Eventually, through reaching out, they got it a bit more right. I think God hoped that if human figured it out by themselves more or less, they would adhere to it more. Unfortunately that's not what happened. So at some point he pulls out the big guns and incarnates his only son, giving everyone the ticket out. But because we have free will, he makes the thing happen, but leaves us with doing what we want to do.
So, the systems people made before, whether that's hinduïsm or norse paganism or whatever are basically obsolete. If you have no modern medicine, you go see the shaman and hope that shaking a few bones in your face will cure you because you know no better. But if you know that you have access to decent surgery and a knowledgeable doctor and you still go to your shaman, that's where you get it wrong.

Also, God doesn't reach out to punish you, you do it to yourself. Not saying that you might never get something in return, but just like going to the shaman with your broken leg might leave you with a limp, asking other spirits for something might backfire. The world has been shaped this way, and if you chose to go to the wrong path, then it's up to you to deal with the results.
