no, they don't want to be seen as "political" even if they're thrust into being that by the normiesphere. what needs to happen, is that Trump and DOJ need to start ignoring rulings with no basis. That's the only check you have, unless you own both houses of Congress and they actually feel like impeaching judges that overstep (hint: they don't)

Reminder, Trump is in a very comfortable position and the media is trying to avoid talking about it. The best way for dems to improve on 2016 is to increase black and Hispanic turnout. However, Wisconsin has only a 6% black population and negligible Hispanic population. To win Wisconsin democrats must make improvements on their numbers with white voters which is highly unlikely given the racial polarization the country has been seeing.

They were never granted the authority to issue policy from the bench, and yet they are. Because no matter why they do it, the ruling is respected. You're in a position where those in the right either need to ignore the rulings, or the populace needs to kill judges. I don't really want to live in the latter world, but that's what we're heading towards.
