It's 26°C outside, I can't sleep, I'm gonna call in sick tomorrow (which isn't a lie, seeing as I haven't slept yesterday and won't sleep today as well), tomorrow it's not gonna cool down below 26°C either - and yet I still deny climate change.
To be quite frank I don't give a fuck about climate change, but there's a lot of people who care and who get really furious if you tell them that climate change doesn't exist. What you usually get then is:
>it's getting warmer and warmer! ... only that the NOAA has already been caught with their pants down changing previous temperature records, and had no excuse other than "trust us, we know what we're doing".
No, don't answer that. Rather tell me what I can do to survive the next couple days, other than getting an AC. The portable ones suck ass and the stationary ones take too long to deliver.
I can't. I need to get my 18°C or I'll simply not be able to sleep.
Austin Parker
You're taking the piss out of Europoors, right? 26C is 79F. That's only 1F higher than where I set my AC. Open a couple windows to get a breeze and drink more water.
Hudson Anderson
As I said, if it doesn't cool down to 18°C I'm unable to sleep - although my favourite temp is 10°C.
I'm simply more adjusted to cold than to heat.
Daniel Diaz
If only the white man had invented a device capable of making his own home cooler during summertime...
Jose Davis
>The portable ones suck ass and the stationary ones take too long to deliver.
Jacob Williams
Just get an air conditioner you Schlampe.
Angel Miller
>neither reads the first nor the last post At least you're getting baked even worse than me.
Carter Brooks
Yeah I'm in Germany for the night. At least my apartment here as AC because I realize summer comes every year.
Something retarded but works is to take an ice pack and put it in your armpit at bedtime. You need to wrap it in a towel though and move it back and forth a few times.
Liam Powell
99% of buildings here don‘t have AC, mostly because Germans are afraid of technology and also paying like €50 more for electricity is considered totally wasteful.
God I hate my people.
Charles Brown
Das ist schön für dich.
Money is not the problem. Efficiency is. I don't feel like wasting power for a unit that only helps marginally.
I have a bottle of ice water; would that do the trick as well?
Camden Gray
>because Germans are afraid of technology Nee, weil's 10 Tage im Haar brütend warm ist und viele Leute denken, dass sie das schon aushalten.
Meine Bude wurde aber erst dieses Jahr renoviert, und da gibt's halt keine Klimaanlage. Ich habe dem Vermieter das schon letzten Monat gesagt, und der hat's dann - gekonnt - ignoriert, obwohl ich ihm gesagt habe, dass ich für die Kosten aufkommen würde.
Xavier Evans
>I don't feel like wasting power for a unit that only helps marginally. You realize that the electricity your local power plant generates isn't "saved" by you not using it right? They produce several time the amount of power that is needed at any given time and the rest goes to waste. Its not like they put it in a big battery for you to use later, its just wasted.
Levi Powell
Get a window AC unit and live under it. Stop kvetching.
Jack Miller
Ach Bernd...
Thomas Miller
>You realize that the electricity your local power plant generates isn't "saved" by you not using it right? I do; I'm an engineer.
Problem is, I still pay for every amp that's being squeezed through the copper.
Jonathan Peterson
>Money is not the problem. >Problem is, I still pay for every amp that's being squeezed through the copper. Kek I guess you are just a greedy jew
Julian Wright
Here's some breaking news for your heinies. In 1902, the first modern electrical air conditioning unit was invented by Willis Carrier in Buffalo, New York.
Michael Clark
Imagine living in +10°C weather hahahaha
Michael Johnson
Ice will absorb several times the heat that cold water will from the process of melting.
Zachary Sullivan
80 calories to go from ice at 0c to water at 1c. 1 cal to go from water at 1c to water at 2c.
