You mean, it was once warmer than it is now? Who would have thought it? Micheal Mann is BTFO! Seriously, there's been about half a dozen ice ages and the ice caps disappear between the glaciers.
Adrian Diaz
I wish that was me
James Martinez
I just..don't see what's surprising about this.
Dominic Morgan
It mean the glaciers were not always there, that global temperatures were higher than they are now and we still lived.
I still don't understand how the world will be flooded if the ice caps melt. Surely 99% of that ice is being displaced in the Ocean/Sea anyway.
Eli Martin
The Adam and Eve story by Chan Thomas might help explain. We are entering a solar minimum the Earth is cooling. This last winter was the coldest on record for most places, record snowfall in most places all that snow that melted flooded the Mississippi and those farmers got fucked up! They didn't plant all their corn etc. Prepare for food prices to go up, everything will go up! Better stop watching that Jew porn and buy a sweater or two and start storing grains and wood for the winter.
Cameron Kelly
Same, can they not imagine trees growing where ice is now? Fucking hell
Logan Bailey
Yeah, sure. I'm with ya.
Kayden Sullivan
This is why they hate global warming. They worked too hard to hide the evidence. We are going to find evidence of past intelligent life under the ice.
Christopher Wood
Did they found jew heritage loan formulas???
Liam Adams
this is proof of creation
Asher Cox
Wait until you see the ancient holocaust museums
Joseph Jackson
>glaciers can grind mountains to dust over time >here are some trees we found under a glacier
Easton Brooks
The North pole ice is mostly "accounted" for in the ocean level, it's the Antarctic ice that is the problem, most of it is above the ground and once it starts melting is that you'll see the ocean levels rise
Caleb Allen
There is a forrest at the bottom of lake Michigan. >1post by this ID obvious brainlet schizo slide habbening
The two largest ice masses on earth are situated on land and don’t displace anything. The sea level will rise if/as they melt. I think the fluctuation in temps has more to do with procession and solar activity rather than manmade co2 levels. I’m sure humans bear less than 5% of the responsibility and think we should be more concerned with chemical pollution, environmental degradation, and waste control.
Jason Ortiz
Do you realize glaciers move over top of land. Hell all of my state of ohio was under a glacier at one point.
OP please explain your post better. Trees under ice comes as no surprise to 99% of people...What compelled you to report this obvious reality to our hive mind?
Everybody knows that glaciers have come and gone. Did you honestly believe they have been there for 4 billions years? Some people basically believe glacier are ice sheets that basically spawn for a location and start moving forward for reasons?... Glaciers are frozen water and packed snow. They drift and split, eroding the earth, when the dripping waters under them unable part of it to float. Those trees where ''iced in'' during cold times and may have been moved as part of multiple sliding or just stayed in place. I mean researchers can walk under the glaciers, rivers could and do too.
Jaxon Mitchell
So climate change is being pushed like never before, and you're going to sit there and tell me this is common knowledge?
Go outside.
Jason Wood
the tards on here are borderline illiterate and completely scientifically illiterate. your honest efforts to help them understand are a waste of time.
you are a retard
Carson Cook
Climate change is being pushed because the climate is changing lol. Whether or not it's caused by humans doesn't matter.
What you don't seem to grasp is the incredibly fragile state of our civilization. As well as the fragile state of ecosystems.
Every major flux in climate is associated with mass die offs of fauna.
You need to go learn something lol.
Michael Jones
>climate change >"climate change"
We're not talking about the same thing here mutt.
When you go outside you'll see the political climate.
Matthew Sanchez
Lol you are a fucking tard hahaha
Justin Young
There is no climate change. End of story.
Jordan Davis

Gavin Young
>this is common knowledge
It's commonly AVAILABLE knowledge, which is very different from commonly known knowledge. Most global warming alarmists have zero knowledge of planet climate history previous to 1880. If you tell them we're currently in an Ice Age, they think you are spouting big oil propoganda.
What you did not think of is wen the Antartic ice melts, The landmass wil rise up and create tsunamies. We are in for a wild ride don't buy ocean side property pol bros.
There is no climate change. The earth is flat. Time travel is possible, and Trump is a time traveller. Physik ist Magie durch Wollen. JFK wasn't killed, but exiled on the moon, on which we've never been. Words have meaning.
Lucas Butler
Ohhh sarcasm...next time make it more obvious.
Brody Stewart
Can we use this to clone extinct tree families?
Anthony Parker
the earth has only existed for 6000 years
Colton Jenkins
Y E S
Aaron Hill
niggle me dis.
Ice cores are shown different temperatures. But how do you measure loss of ice cover on ice cores? If Ice cores are exact then ice cover has to rise up constantly..
Amazing. Wonder what cool shit they are going to find. Giant fern or something.
William Carter
True, as longs as Earth has polar ice caps, we are in an ice age.
Jackson Bell
Isostatic rebound doesn’t happen fast enough to cause tsunamis. Many parts of North America and Europe are still undergoing this process from the last ice age. However, you’re not entirely wrong in that the previously sunken land rising up will also displace more water. I don’t really care that much, the world changes and there’s nothing we can do to stop change. We can attempt to guide the changes and adapt, but there’s no stopping natural processes.
The Atlanteans destroyed their civilization and race with CO2 emissions and climate change. The earth was abnormally warm and trees grew where now glaciers are melting again.
Mason Wood
Just wait until Noah's Ark is uncovered
Chase Nguyen
Climate changes throughout time, yes, but human activity has caused it to happen more rapidly and in more random ways.
What that means is that plants which have evolved to slowly deal with climate changes will be hit with massive rapid changes that they can't adapt to and they'll die out more rapidly.
Really they should have called it "Climate Instability" so that retards wouldn't get confused with the "change" part.
Jason Richardson
>Mammoths were snap frozen with wildflowers in their stomachs. Most especially this. The cope crowd never wants to address this. >b-but it was a slow gradual process! >e-everyone knows that! g-go to college!
global cooling > global warming > climate change > climate instability
Jackson Reed
I'm a low IQ faggot. Explain to me what possible significance tree stumps under glaciers might have.
Lucas Rogers
For the mass public and media being alarmed at the glaciers melting / retreating. As if the glaciers have always been there. And blaming humans for its melting.
Dylan Carter
More surprised by the fact there are actually trees left, which implies the ice started to stack faster than they could rot or erode away. Living in an area of Canada where during the last ice age there was literally more than km of ice which left its influence on the landscape, hell you can still find multi-tons eroded rocks on the surface all over the place and it even worse the moment you start to dig (building foundation is both easy and a pain, isn't rare in the least that you need to dynamite rocks simply too big to lift out or the bedrock itself), you can easily see what kind of current was generated by the melting of ice. So to see that there are even trees still rooted below all that ice is surprising.
Juan Howard
So what you're saying is, global temperatures were much much warmer than they are now?
This is a severely retarded post t. Construction worker
Eli Bailey
Not all glaciers move.
Colton Wilson
tpbp
Jose Hughes
>that global temperatures were higher than they are now and we still lived. I WANT EUROPE TO BE AS HOT AS AFRICA FUCK GREEN TREES AND SHIT SNOW? WHO NEEDS THAT?
I thought it was supposed to be "climate crisis" now?
Wyatt Wright
who knows. Its all bullshit and no one believes it besides pseudo intellectuals who cling to it as identity because they have nothing else.
Carson Johnson
Glaciers constantly moving. Oh look a tree stump is here It's old. Wait, really old. Promise We found it.png Gimme day grant money Media: "Ancient forest (((discovered)))"
Anthony Cooper
>Every major flux in climate is associated with mass die offs of fauna. We're already in a mass extinction larger than the one that took out the dinosaurs. Have been for a couple of millennia
Joshua Taylor
The definition of a glacier is that it's on the move. The etymology refers to its glacial pace, often imperceptible to the human eye and many computer trackers. So yes all glaciers move. So it follows you'll find things under them, but it doesn't follow that those things were always submerged in glacial ace. No different from finding a penny under a parked car. The penny's history is not symbiotic with the car.
>MUH SOLAR MINIMUM It's not going to make any difference fagget
Brandon Price
Technically a glacier is an accumulation of ice and snow that is large enough to move under gravity. Active glaciers currently are moving, so melt from them flows out milky white due to the powdered rocks Inactive glaciers are not currently moving, melt from them is clear Retreating glaciers may be active or inactive, but have more melt than accumulation
Hudson Phillips
>The sea level will rise if/as they melt. current dogma says this will be insignificant and the majority of sea level rise will be due to sea water warming up and expanding.
Charles Richardson
How many of you want to bet Hawaii will be the Atlantis of this age?
Ethan Nelson
It's lack of water that causes deserts, not an abundance of heat. And an increase in heat doesn't cause deserts.
Owen Edwards
Just wait until the trees start to grow again and release their deadly spores into the atmosphere. We’ll understand why they were frozen under all that ice so long ago. At least those of us that live through the end, that is.
Isaac Rogers
wow dude so we get to be a rainforrest? kys nigger I like my climate cold and temperate
It's because world shifted on its axis dramatically.
Isaiah Cox
How is this an unknown phenomenon? The glaciers have melted and frozen again hundreds of time in the past. If you have non-frozen land with some moisture and enough sunlight plants and fungi will appear eventually.
Liam Ward
you must be a shitposting backpacker, i refuse to believe that columbia can deliver 1st world bants
if you want to really mindfuck yourself, you would learn the actual geology instead of posting that /x/ tier bull shit >giant primordial lava tube ejects loose matter for hundreds of miles >tube itself fills with solidified lava >lava is harder than surrounding bedrock >over millenia, the entire surrounding area is eroded away >what was once a hole in the ground is now a mountain
all of the vertical rock formations like that are formed in this manner
