But he didn't beg at all. He just did work. He would turn up at a village and ask if there's any work he could do in exchange for a place to sleep and food. He worked as porter carrying sand up to remote mountain villages. His motivation was to prepare to start a family.

I honestly wish I had the balls to feel good about begging. When I was younger and my buddy and I were traveling like dirty hippies, they would always fly a sign or "spange" is what they called it. I'd work my ass off all day on farms, hostels, whatever and they'd come back with hundreds of dollars a good chunk of the time. They were able to finance their trips very easy and quickly this way. I couldn't.
However, the one thing I can do and always have done is cooking and that has opened up A LOT of doors for me on the road. If you follow the seasons, find work during the Holiday months, people are always desperate to find cooks to hire on. Theyll take temporary and short term too just to have a warm body during let's say, the week of Christmas, Easter, Valentines, etc. I haven't done this outside the US yet, I can imagine it'll be a lot harder, but so far its been great.
I'm back home in Colorado right now, wouldn't mind going to Boston, NYC, FL, or maybe the West Coast since I've yet to get over there.

He was waiting for the light to turn green, so they can walk across the street. While we were waiting (I was in my car, he was on the curb) he grabbed his kid by both feet and was swinging him almost like a golf club.
The kids legs were straight and his head (or the few hairs on his head) were grazing the sidewalk. That's how close he was to the pavement.

The baby was so calm you wouldn't believe it, I think he even had one finger in his mouth while he was swinging upside down. It was a bunch of paisas (immigrants/illegals). Nobody paid them any attention, people were just walking around like nothing. This is how calm and normal they made this shit look, but it was completely crazy.
I don't think this dude was doing it for money, he was just doing it for reasons unknown.
