Too poor
Most people arent buying new cars or from a dealership. Most people would rather buy a $800 Impala with a bit of rust than a brand new car thats still underpowered and has lower build quality. The auto industry is turning to shit
I am doing pretty good, and I can't afford $60,000 no frills family sedans with 4 banger engines...
>Nissan
Yeah being absolute Chrysler-tier shit while staying on the same platform for all your vehicles for like 15 years w/ direct competitors like Mazda, Honda, Toyota... what the fuck do you think would happen?
Heard from a childhood fren that the car sales business is destined to collapse at some point. 100%, and that everyone that he works with knows it's bad business and credit tricks to get what they're even getting right now. That said, increasing urbanization, decent older car market, and millinelials staying at home w/o jobs might be an issue. Immigration driving down wages, ect..Also, maybe the new car market isn't being responsive to what people want. As soon as there's a car that I might want, tand people buy, they star making more expensive versions until people won't buy it because its expensive as shit, when the version 1o years ago was nearly as good and half the price new. I'm just going to buy that older turd and drive that for 5 years and get a newer decent used turd.
A 2014 ram sport was like 45K new.
Same truck, identical truck in 2018 was 72k
You figure it out.
This economic paradigm is over.
$60K in So Cal gets you brand new Corvette ZR1.
Buy a $30,000 fun WRX then.
>Get bought to a controlling stake by french govt owned Renault.
Instantly get restricted in everything that might put you ahead of your business "partner".
It's entirely Nissan's fault for letting the frogs in, instead of just going bust and being fucking done with it.
Doesn't that require premium gas?
If you now make unreliable cars there's no reason to buy Japanese.
Shit, drive some of those newer nissans and you’ll see why. Although I like the cvt qualities in the Altima they’re shit cars for the price.
cars are way too overpriced
This
If you’ve ever bought a new car you’ll notice they charge you for the pouch that your owner’s manual comes in
same car in Brazil: R$ 1,159,000.00
by changing 60k usd to brl: R$ 226,917.00
Brazil has horrible, state of the art trash pricings on cars. any car. for example a popular car, 2019 lowest price in dollars: USD 11,900.00
>car insurance is expensive
>more people live in cities now, public transport expanding
>housing bubble making home ownership impossible and rent prices high
>maintaining a car now is impossible and they are mostly designed to fail over time
>constant demoralization in the media makes millenials less likely to do anything
A base model Nissan rogue is on the road for like $22k. The mid grade model is like $27k. Fully loaded for $32k.
Dealerships asking way over sticker price for cars.
the absolute state of Brazilian car pricings.
embracon.com.br
do your currency changes to see what im talking about, compare with your own pricings.
Complete shitboxes are like $25k starting now.
and just so you all know, when self driving cars come out a car company will be able to make more money renting their cars as taxis then selling their cars. this will drive prices up to the point where you cant afford a car anyways because why would they even sell you a car at a low price if they can make more renting that car out.
you are all going to be priced out of driving
combine that with a social credit system/ governments desire to restrict freedom of movement as a way of maintaining control/ limited range of electric vehicles and you have a future where people stay contained within cities as planned.
thats where this is all going so enjoy driving while you can. not to mention how insurance on driving your own car will be affordable once self driving cars go mainstream.
the future of freedom of movement is not llooking good
obama killed the used car market with "cash for clunkers" they literally destoryed millions of good used cars.
then govt bails out GM
now all new cars and trucks are way to expensive.
I blame the murano convertible
>will be affordable
unaffordable rather
which apparently isnt a word according to spellecheck
>Nissan rogue
abc11.com
cars.usnews.com
reviews aren't bad, but they keep pointing people to other similar cars in this review.
"The 2019 Rogue is an OK compact SUV."
Ugh why are cars so fucking ugly these days? Like are you design niggers even trying?
Fpbp
t. time traveler waiting to be transferred out of City 17
cars are just pollution generators
decent human beings walk/bike/use public transport
only filth drives cars
Buy? With what? Like, money? Hahah.
LOL who are most people, because that is fucking retarded. Nobody would rather have an 800 dollar piece of shit over a brand new car. Millenials arent buying new cars because they cant afford them, period. Theyd rather spend their money on Starbucks and avocado toast.
Nissan/Chrysler/Kia what do they all have in common??? Demographics
they put something in the water that makes us forget
>Just be green and ride bikes
>Lives in the most consumerist, wasteful, and inefficient urban environment
Make sure those trash needles dont bust your bike tires, or the soles of your gay sandals.
buy old and used, research for common problems and check the maintenance history old cars are more aesthetic anyway and will teach you some fucking responsibility
avocado toast is a meme, do you honestly believe we spend thousands a year on avocados because some boomer on tv told you so?
Nissan merged with Renault. Their quality went to shit.
WTF are you talking about, leaf?
PRICING AND RELEASE DATE
The 2020 RAM 1500’s official release date is not available yet, but check back often for updates.
With no changes in the works, we expect the 2020 RAM 1500’s pricing to remain close to the 2019 models MSRP range of $33,390 to $59,385 (destination fees included).
The 2020 RAM 1500 will battle the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500.
This.
Yup. And all new entry priced vehicles are suspiciously around the same price. It makes me wonder if there's some deals going on between car companies.
FPBP
also the avocado sandwich with cheese and egg at my local cafe is like $3 canadian and it tastes pretty good so stop hating on avacados
Obviously the fact that they cant afford it is part of that i didnt really word it well
>buy old and used, research for common problems and check the maintenance history old cars are more aesthetic anyway and will teach you some fucking responsibility
So much this. New cars will sometimes take years for problems to come out. A 5-10 yr old car, if not older, has a track record.
LOL its a joke you faggot. Im a millennial too.
I wish it were the good ol' days when faggots like you were dragged behind trucks until your limbs went flying off everywhere.
Would never pay $22k for a base model shit car.
Can confirm, I have a 100k/year job and I consume exclusively avocados and starbucks. All my clothes are made from avocado fibre and all my furniture is made from recycled starbucks cardboard.
Get a used BRZ instead. Takes premium, but still gets 31-32MPG highway. Lots of people run them on regular without much change to the fuel mileage, but what's the fun in that? If you're not getting less than 20MPG around town, you're missing out on all the fun.
Can't afford. The middle class has been extinguished. You either get one car from your boomer daddy, or you simply can't at all.
I own a 20 year old beat up ford truck that has hardly any electronics and that's the way i like it.
I work a high profile, white collar job that involves meeting corporate customers and often entertaining them.
They all love it.
BMW, Audi, Merc are all cuckmobiles.
If you haven't got at least a 3"lift and a shotgun rack then you are a trucklet and will never make it in this industry desu senpai.
Im getting a dual sport motorcycle and killing anyone who tries to stop me.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with Jewish usery, and pitifully insufficient wages justified by endless waves of unassimilating ugly immigrants willing to work like a slaves for a shack that is still 100x better than what they came from.
It sure isn't that.
Bikes are much better if you live an a reasonable well design city
Plenty of good used vehicles out there. Why put yourself in a bunch of debt for a vehicle when you can avoid it and still have something that provides the same practical use?
As if we don’t all already have multiple first gen dodge diesels that run on anything as well as dual sport/supermotos and side by sides.
Stay independent phaggot.
>you are all going to be priced out of driving
Leaf knows what's up. Personal transport will move back to being a luxury like it was back in the formative years of the Auto Industry. The major manufacturers will deploy fleets of vehicles for rent and only the wealthiest will have their own personal cars.
I like the BRZ, but I'd probably opt for the Toyota 86. Basically the same fucking car anyways.
How do they fuckup selling ramen? It's just noodles, everybody eats it.
It has fuck all to do with being poor, it has to do with having a fucking brain.
Please, allow me to list all the lovely (mostly mandatory) fee's, fines, and expenses associated with owning a JEWicle.
Car:
>Car Payment
Between $150-$400 (Per month) (Per Fucking Month)
>Mandatory Car Insurance
Between $75-$150 (Per month)
>Personal Property Taxes
Between $200-$545 (Depending on where you live)
>Cost of GAS
>Cost of Oil
>Cost of Tires
>Cost of Brakes
>Registration Fee's
Between $75-$135 (Depending on what kind of car your driving)
>Mandatory Inspections
>Tolls
So, between the: Personal Property Taxes, Tolls, Inspection Fee's, Mandatory Car Insurance, Monthly Car Payments, Gas, Oil Changes, Tires & Brakes, Registration Fee's, and this doesn't even include the cost to park your car, the cost associated with a wreck, or the costs of unexpected repairs or tickets---->
GEE, I WONDER WHY PEOPLE DON'T VOLUNTARILY CHAIN THEMSELVES TO A MONEY GUZZLING, BLACK HOLE OF AN INVESTMENT.
The used vehicle market can't sustain this though. If people keep buying used cars and running them into the ground- leaving only leased new cars left to be bought used- eventually, (we aren't even talking long from now) the auto industry as a whole will go to shit.
diesel exhaust causes alzheimers so theres that
motorcycles of the future will have gyroscopes and drive themselves and once vehicles are all self driving you wont be able to afford the insurance to drive your own anything.
goodluck with your independence but you're going to get priced out whether you realize it or not and probably sooner then you think
>t. twenty year old boomer
I have a discount 1996 Pontiac and I'd rather replace the faulty parts than buy a 20k+ car
plus those have sensible as shit steering aid and ain't got manual windows
Becuase you can get a decent used car for like 2 or 3k
not to sound like a commie but the idea of the only thing mattering being profits is what leads to profit declines
I always thought a cyberpunk future would be gritty and cool, like a neon augmented reality Tom Waits song. Turns out it really is bleak and depressing and your (((masters))) don't want you to own anything.
Pedestrian safety standards.
Toyota is best carfu
>The major manufacturers will deploy fleets of vehicles for rent and only the wealthiest will have their own personal cars.
exactly
tesla has already announced that they wont be selling their cars in the near future
Again. I will ride my cycle and kill anyone who tries to stop me.
Can you get blood from stones user?
People will simple stop insuring and remove themselves from society. They will work under the table, form communities with similar neighbours etc..
thats the price of getting a licence in Brazil, in BRL.
this is a good thing
cars are overvalued to the point where they aren't affordable to the average person anymore
Nissan is the brand for sub-prime lending niggers, spics, and single mothers. Compare your average Altima driver to an Accord one. Night and day. Nissan sought out short-term marketshare gains at the expense of quality and this is the end result. Their brand image is probably the worst of any major automaker. SCUM indeed.
People are buying new cars, just not Nissan's.
Most new car sales are trucks which is dominated by Ford, GM and Toyota
people will rent cars is what im saying
you will have a monthly subscription to ford that lets you call up one of their vehicles
the plan you can afford will be the one with limited miles that doesnt allow you to drive too far outside your city
I've never wanted to murder someone as much as I want to murder you right now. Excellent work! Including the trolley was pièce de résistance .
and of course there wont be a steering wheel
cvt transmissions destroyed cars
Most new sales were in trucks and SUVs, those are collapsing as well now.
The limited version of the BRZ hits the sweet spot of having decent interior appointments, but if you're buying used anyway then beggars can't always be choosers. I legitimately thought I might have made a mistake the first few months I had it, but then I realized it made me feel like a giddy 16 year old compared to having to drive stodgy momcars. Not for everybody, but it's an inexpensive ray of sunshine in my otherwise bleak life.
You casually say 2-3k. Okay. I'll bite. So let's say someone gives you a car. Fuck paying or finance payments. But someone gives you a car.
Still doesn't make the following go away:
>Mandatory Car Insurance
>Gas
>Oil Changes
>Car Brakes
>Car Tires
>Tolls
>Parking Fee's
>Personal Property Taxes
>Registration Fee's
>Inspection
Again, that's if nobody hit's you, that's if no rocks fly into your windshield and crack it, that's if nobody slashes your tires for lols, and that's if you get no speeding tickets, parking tickets, or fines.
It can last indefinitely so long as replacement parts are available. If new cars stopped being made today, it could probably easily last for another 20 years without problems. Longer if public transport was improved around the world, which would be likely with the money saved from bailing out failing car companies.
some cvts are very crappy but the honda civic has a cvt and its the most reliable car in the world so i dont know about that.
I personally don’t think this will happen, it’s a meme technology like true sentient AI.
They can’t even keep half decent roads in western countries. Been to Canada lately?
Just another case of capitalist not adhearing to the law of supply and demand :)
Absolutely this.
My sister and brother-in-law bought a new Nissan, and it kept having brake problems, tire problems and was generally a pos. They owned it for about a year then sold it.
Nissan rogue is one of the best awd suvs out right now. Don't get me wrong I prefer my Forester but Nissan makes good suvs. Mazda is complete and utter shit
Nissan. Is shit. That's why. I'm not driving a car made by anime watching chinks.
Have you done any modifications to yours? I was watching a video by fitment industries about owning a BRZ and they showed off some slick cars. Widebody kits and all that. Do you drive yours in winter?
cars will last a lot longer once they are self driving and rented out by the car companies. there will no longer be an incentive for planned obsolescence. just when cars get good they will remove the steering wheel and you wont be able to afford the miles to take it outside the city. and you may be denied access to even renting a car if your social credit isnt good enough
nissans are shit. how are toyota profits?
nytimes.com
seattletimes.com
Maybe they'll make cheaper, decent working cars again. Or, the market has sailed. I think the latter is a more powerful force. For reasons people have already stated in his thread.
>falling for the internal combustion automobile jew.
the cars can already drive themselves, the technology is already here and it works, where the fuck have you been
cars are the biggest scam their is today, as long as you can properly maintain it (aka refill its oil every 3000 miles and take it to a mechanic when it approaches to 200k-300k miles) then you're fine
