Using religion to reach a utilitarian end is always a self contradictory strategy. The defining aspect of religion is that it is true belief- rather than a means to and end. What you are really talling about with paganism is aesthetics and culture. It is akin to a political platform. You would like to push a cultural program that will lead to certain outcomes because they are desirable in your eyes. Take Bach for example, christianity is not great because it was the direct inspiration for the greatest music ever made, Bach's music was the greatest music ever made because it was inspired by his desire to honor the trud almighty creator of the universe. People who use religion like a tool end up with no religion at all- a people of nothingness. Your homes and culture are important and valuable- like your inheritance. They are worth fighting and dying for, and we should ask God to help us in that struggle. We have been a secular godless people for sometime now. Any remnant of respectable culture and goodness in the western world are the vestiges of our prior christianity. How you could blame the godless degeneracy of today on Christianity when our degeneration correlates so cleanly with our abandoning of God as the chief influence in the management of our affairs, is beyond me. Up is down for you- when one points out the beautiful fruits that our society rendered when we were devoutly Christian- you ascribe those fruits to another source. When one points out the rotten fruit created by forces which are manifestly godless- you ascribe it to christianity. But that's irrelevant because as I said above- religion is not a means to an end which is why the "pagan" who makes the case for his religion by referencing some utility (which is ironic considering how much greater the fruits of christianity have been over the centuries) is no pagan at all. A person who uses their "religion" like a tool is someone who likes to play dress up or push a cultural program. I have yet to hear a pagan make his case to me by simply saying "I know these gods are the true gods." They always rely on some cultural utility which is sure admission that they are godless larpers
