I disagree. It relies too heavily on the investment of power in one or a few high ranking leaders. A more rational and pragmatic form of Democracy is better in the long run.

Weighted voting would give us such a democracy. Everyone gets at minimum one vote, to keep the plebs happy, but many people would get a higher weight of votes. Criteria for having a higher weighting would include factors such as intelligence, education, experience and responsibilities.

For example a 21 single neet would get one vote. But a 31 year old father of 2 children, who has a trades qualification might count as 5 votes. A 41 year old professional who employs a small team might get 10 votes, a 51 year old Doctor might get 15 votes, and so on, adding or subtracting votes for various criteria. Other criteria might include subtraction of votes for having criminal convictions, or additional votes for passing a test which demonstrates an understanding of economic and political systems. The idea is to give greater decision making power to those who with higher intelligence, social value, education and experience. Presently some knuckle dragging uneducated idiot can cancel out the vote of a productive hard working family person who actually contributes to society. That's simply a plainly retarded way to run a country.

This system by itself is not the full solution, there are other aspects which need to be included as well.
