is steven and the seagals a good band?
My point is I’m not even from the south/Appalachia, this is Americana at its finest regardless of where you live in this country. It applies to every climate and landscape.

In terms of newer stuff:
Yonder Mountain String Band
Railroad Earth
Edgar Meyer/Bela Fleck
Old and In the Way (Jerry Garcia’s bluegrass band, Jerry on banjo not new but that was the 2nd link I posted)
I like some of what you listed as well, Alan Jackson is too nu-country for me though. To each his own, however.
Kentuckyfag here.
Pretty based post for a yankee.
Thanks user. You got why I referenced I was a yank. Great thing about bluegrass is I’ve seen outstanding groups in New England, upstate New York, PA. Bluegrass is what this country was. Our birthright. Our land.
That's true.
>Country Gentlemen
>Bill Monroe
Thought this was a different song actually. Not terrible but not one i would point to as kino bluegrass
Spent last week camping at Greyfox Bluegrass Festival #28 for me. Also do guitar and vocals for a mostly retired classic bluegrass musician
Checked. Nothing like a small little festival to camp at for a few days.
Have some bluegrass recs?
Cheers anons
Not bluegrass but I can get behind it
Enjoy Bruce
Fully agree
Bluegrass country has it's roots from European folk music which conglomerated and morphed into an American genre.
Don't just listen to the old gaurd. The younger generation will change the culture to the bluegrass way.
Frank Solivan, Billy strings and Danny knicely to name a few.
Stream WNCW out of Spindale, NC and get a lot of up and coming bluegrass/Americana artists, plus classics (to include weekend replays of Hank Williams' radio show)

I am proud to be from the same town as Dave. He passed not too long ago. RIP
Small? It’s pretty huge. Getting sick of the jam bands though. Would much rather see Larry Sparks
I don’t but my boss has tons. Frank Wakefield
I'm just dropping these here. A Finnish band doing bluegrass covers of metal and hard rock classics.

Old and in the Way had Vassar Clements on fiddle, and he's about the best damn fiddler I've ever heard.
One of my favorite conspiracy analysts plays guitar in a bluegrass band in NYC. lionel
My boss doing Rawhide with Del McCoury
Oops that’s new camptown
Fuck bluegrass, Scruggs was a giant faggot who worshipped bbc. Only beta fags play scrugs, Chad's play clawhammer.

Bluegrass: sadistic, inhuman torture. Fuck, I hate that shit. SAGE.
