It's a perfectly logical and rather easy to grasp concept. Neurotypical humans assess faces in a predictable pattern. Just as humans have different tastes and behaviors towards certain colours, designs, etc. which may be predictable i.e: "Most aesthetic to least aesthetic" to an extent, it would stand to reason that certain faces result in negative reactions. Just like that dwarf everyone treats like a double nigger, a person with a particularly repulsive face will undeniably change their behavior over time, in a predictable manner if they are always treated as repulsive.
It's just like phrenology though, that if you were to use the science of phrenology or physiognomy as it existed 100 years ago, of course it would seem dated. It simply hasn't been allowed to develop in the same manner as other sciences due to ethical rejection.

I know I'm just joking. I don't buy the "metaphysical evil" angle. It's just not substantiated by anything measurable.
