Pretty cool. I'd do something about the emblem, maybe a more traditional leaf. Also the white 'x' needs to pop out a bit more.

That's not a bad thing though. I'm just saying it's dumb to try and distance yourself from the British. The maple leaf is supposed to be a compromise between French and English symbolism. It's a decent idea in theory, but it just makes everyone forget about where they came from.

Objectively yes because it's simpler, but i actually liked the blue quite a bit. Your 2nd and 3rd ones are still the best imho.

Actually the maple leaf was a chosen as a National symbol because they were super common all over the place.

On the red ensign flag you can see them in the crest attached to the Life rune (stem of the leaf).

The modern flag of Canada you saw at the Olympic in Korea, has that big leaf because of the same reason, its a National symbol. They could have used a moose head, or something else but that's why its leaf.

Has nothing to do with French English sysnthesis; which I think is a dick move since its spitting in the fae of French people here being, Red and White, set up by King George as Canada's official colours. More like England lol Poor French people got screwed over :L
