Think about it.
When just have a few kids you can disciple them right, spend time tutoring on their education, teach history, etc. that is why when people have lots of kids (or when the father isn’t around) the kids tend to be more violent and do worse at school, you don’t have time to focus on them.
It also puts a bigger burden on the state to fund education while your tax base (one father and mother) remains the same. And it doesn’t help the state in the future either, since you were not able to adult them or educate them well they are more likely to become a net burden on th state, not a net tax gain
