Hello. I was raised Christian, and then left the faith about 5 years ago. I'm starting to think that perhaps My judgement of the religeon was unfair. After all I'm listening to a modern liberal reimagining of the church. It's possible that what I've been exposed to is a bastardization of real Christianity. So I'm considering the possiblity that I was wrong. One thing has always bothered me though.
If God is real, and scripture is his infallable word, why did he command circumcision of the Jews.
If they were made in his image, why did they need to mutilate themselves? How is mutilating a person to make them easier to control godly?
It really makes no sence. Forskins did not appear as a result of sin. They are a natural part of the male body. Why would god command that they be cut off? It seems more like some third world nigger ritual than something God wouldcommand of his children.
It seems so obvious that it was just a lie meant to keep the tribe from acting out. This really makes me think that the whole religeon has awlays just been another lie meant to keep people in line. In fact I'm almost certain of this, but I don't want to give up hope. The world of nihilism is so fucking gloomy, and horrible.
