Well done! Took me a minute to figure out I had to use interact instead of walk to traverse screens. I like the dialog, it reminds me very much of the old point-and-click adventure games I played way back when. The art style works very well. I'm looking forward to the finished product!

I like the even older ones like King's Quest and Maniac Mansion. I guess it depends what you grew up with. But there's definitely something about them more book-like in how you get enveloped into them.

Yeah, there's that, too. But I think there is a real difference with the pacing of a turn-based game, since you control it kind of like you control the pacing of a book. And less sophisticated special effects and the quantum of information transfer forces it to rely more on the abstract plot and your imagination than with movies or virtual reality.

I remember when Legend of Zelda came out it made me panic at first that it had realtime battle, unlike an Ultima or something like that. lol. Nintendo really nailed it with that era's mix of action and adventure, though.
