Well no shit but about 80% of my time is spent testing theories and concepts and making sure they are thoroughly logical and don't contradict with any other existing principle. Really tend to go deep with platonic based concepts and apply them to the modern world and see how well they really match.

Tbh, i think the rancid development in academia is largely the fault of the way it is currently being done. Iv spent a few years in academia and it really is a "ring-pissing" exercise. What is really lacking is a real comprehention of classical litterature and philosophy if not least. Dont know if anyone noticed but prominent "philosophers" like Slavij and Peterson are not philosophers at all but psycoanalysts. Nietszche was perhaps the last real philosopher who still dedicated his thought whatever you think of it to metaphisical truths. Today at Universities it is often demanded that you use the most recent theory to develop your own, so fewer and fewer aspiering and yound academics actually have a real relationship to the concepts they are working with as it has moved trough 10 other people before reaching them. We have been putting distance between us and the real world for quite some time now, long before social media even. It is problematic to base a society on the notion that some are better then other, but at the same time this will always be case. Why not strive for objective truth tather than the subjectivly comprehended world we live in now?
