I never went to NYC myself, but there's nothing out of the ordinary to romanticize 'cause the towers have grown modern alongside the rest of Manhattan. There are ecological projects to install vegetation and solar pannels on the roofs for example, but apart from that nothing much changed. No flying cars, 2010s culture, its almost all the same.
