It's not worth doing anything there. Transporting cargo there is prohibitively expensive. The southern ocean is dangerous for both sea and air travel. It's completely inaccessible during winter, so if you're there after the last ship leaves, you'd better be prepared to hunker down for several months with no outside contact. If you need a cold environment for whatever reason, the Northern Polar Region is much more accessible and practical. Not everything is a conspiracy
