In one hand marketing is usually to make the sellings go higher, so not only a fail but a weak sucess is seen as a bad move, marketing cost millions and if done wrong can destroy the company image. But then theres what you said, if the company got hijacked by ideologues, then the company its not anymire about making money but for social enginering. I think, if anything, the go broke part may come, but it will likely be a ways down the line. It will be something that takes a concerted effort over time. We probably aren't going to break, say, Disney by boycotting a couple of woke movies for a couple of years. A giant company like that has money to burn, and then light a whole new fire and keep on burning. As far as investors go that's true, however how many super rich, ultra wealthy people have drunk the koolaid? They don't even have to ultra wealthy really. There's plenty of rich people that donate to the Dems, or progressive movements and projects. If a more neutral or conservative minded investor decides to pull out over lower profits due to wokeness, then theres likely someone with more of an affinity for the woke message to step in and keep the giant companies affloat. Now I don't know exact numbers about the wealthy elites, but I would argue there has been a trend recently of many industries monoplizing, Hollywood again as a major example. If there's really only one or two investment options then it's going to be even easier for wealthier progressives to get in on the action.

I'll add that I would certainly like to see a lot of the companies and corporations go broke. So broke that don't ever see them again. I'm just highly skeptical.
