Perhaps if news stations didn't cover these shootings like a main-event boxing fight, and completely ignored them all together, than I'd imagine the shootings would start to decrease. Then again, it would be blasted all over the internet- so again, the internet was a mistake.

Well, there are many studies, and each defined “mass shooting” a different way.

Mostly, gang and street crimes made up these numbers. I’d like to follow the number of cases someone shoots up soft targets of “ innocent people”. Stamford tried to qualify it that way, but suffered from only having online info. Thus, the trend grew with the Information Age.

It is purely due to economic instability. This leads to political instability leading to population movements leading to social friction. Social friction is increasing on its own due to individual economic insecurity. Where once global financial markets would have registered this, now markets are controlled/manipulated/financialized that they no longer reflect this.

All these neet shooters would not be doing this if they had jobs and families and an actual future beyond wage slaving until the sweet release of death.

For example, the recent mass shooting in Brownsville was at an open-air, permitted block party event, but because it was in a black neighborhood, people brushed it aside as "just niggers being niggers," even though the two shooters just walked up and opened fire indiscriminately. The only objective way to classify a mass shooting is by number of people shot, and the most common criterion is "4 or more."

Leftists want to deliberately obfuscate the source of the high rates of homicide and shootings in the U.S. while attempting to place the blame of violence on "white males." It's almost as if they pick criteria deliberately to arrive with an end result that is mostly "white male." I'm sure there are people attempting to find a set of "red flag" criteria to stop someone from purchasing a firearm, but that's very dangerous territory if you believe in the rule of law, due process, and all of those other rights-respecting aspects of a civilized society.

I mean, as of now, the most predictive set of criteria for determining whether someone will be a shooter is: Black male, aged 14-35, living in a democrat-controlled inner city. If Leftists truly wanted to use "common-sense" gun control to put a HUGE dent in the rates of gun violence, they would advocate gun bans for blacks.

But "reducing gun violence" isn't their actual goal or purpose. They want federal laws that allow the prompt disarmament of anyone who shows signs of having a "threatening" political opinion. That's all ANY of this is about.
