Maybe individual state healthcare could work like provincial healthcare in Canada but I think price transparency could make regular preventive care affordable for everyone not on Medicare.

This. We're talking about free healthcare when heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, obesity, heavy smoking, drug and alcohol abuse, sedimentary lifestyles, fatty processed "food" and GMOs are all epidemics of their own. Nearly all largely preventable and avoidable. Obesity alone kills way more people than gun deaths (which 2/3rds of are suicides and the other third include police shootings, negligent discharges, and self defense killings along with homicide), and here we are talking about bans and red flags. Funny, isn't it?
Having the pleasure of dealing with the VA, between all of that and having to figure out what we've got to do to unfuck the time public health care takes, we're not ready for it. Oh, and ship them all back too, I'm not contributing to the pot to treat people that don't and overall have no right to be here.
