Not at all. My mother racked up 500k in health bills. She never paid a dime. My father makes 100k a year. This is only for suckers, they do this knowing full well it's a write off when people don't pay.

force me to do all sorts of pointless cat scans, x-rays, $300 in blood tests (FOR NO REASON) then an additional $2000 for a blood test they sent to some random lab WTF? didn't consent! had me piss into a jug and charged me $300 to analyze my piss. and then there's $1,700 for 'chemistry' literally what the actual fuck?

all they had to do was let me wait it out and sober up

i seriously, honestly think they did all of these ridiculous charges just a a punishment. just to exploit me and take my money. once they sedated me they were like "yeah, we can do ANYTHING to this guy and change him TRIPLE haha"

I decided not to pay medical collection debt because years ago when I did in attempts to fix my credit it literally did nothing to improve it. I got some recent medical collection debt that hasn't even shown up on my credit history. Every time I call I tell them insurance was supposed to take care of it and they already did, Idk why you people keep calling me!

When a bill like this comes in, you’ll take it to your insurance company and you’ll have to pay something called a “deductible”, which is a part of the total payment made by you — usually only a couple thousand dollars, after which the insurance company pays the rest. So it ends up being more efficient AND less expensive than socialized medicine, plus you don’t need to pay to cover deadbeats, sine the overwhelming majority of insurance plans in America are employer-based, and aren’t generally offered to minimum-wage employees
