My recommendation: Budapest

Genuinely recommend that you move to eastern europe, preferably Budapest. If you know anything IT related or marketing, you have a great chance of getting hired as an ambassador for US markets and/or relations. There are american private high schools/ all english college and university courses, internationally recognized. Most people speak at least basic english in Budapest.

You’ll make less than you would in the US in a similar position, but both Hungary is dirt cheap if you find a comfy house a few miles away from Budapest in the outskirts. One thing I can assure you of is that they will always pay a well-qualified american hefty hefty bonuses.
