Japan is one of the few major exceptions, but you should keep in mind that it banned guns and swords under the reign of a literal Imperial government that suppressed the fuck out of everyone in the process. america is too diverse. countries where it has happened are 80-90% homogenous so everyone trusts one another and looks out for the common good. in diverse societies no one gives a damn about each other. also, your diversity has a lot of violent populations within it whereas the europeans based countries are filled with populations that aren't generally violent.

It didn't work in other countries. Murder/suicide/assault with a deadly weapon/etc. rates didn't change AT ALL in Australia after we "banned" guns. They just continued on the exact same downward trajectory that they were already on. The only difference is that people started using things that weren't guns to achieve the same things.

If you look at the rates of murder via use of a knife / bare hands / etc. It's a fuck load higher in America than other countries too. Guns aren't the problem in America, it's just that Americans are a violent people. You take away the guns, they'll still keep killing each other, just like they did in other countries.

Multicultural countries have much higher crime and less trust than homogeneous white countries like Nordic countries, which are the few places that gun control actually lead to decreased violent crime and homicides. Since America is only 56% white and falling, the same results would not be repeated here, much like socialism won't work here for the same reason.
