What "strength" Christianity had piggy-backed off the native European logos until its inertia ran out. Most early Christians were barely Christian by today's standards. They were told a man achieved immortality and were then promised immortality for themselves, which to warrior tribes is a pretty good deal. The Catholic Church then later retconned most of the early Christian sects, including Arianism, which appealed to Germanics particularly. So the "strong" Christians were just barely converted pagans. Christianity by default creates soft weak men who expect to be rewarded for allowing themselves to be pathetic and pushed around, ultimately to be destroyed. The final goal of Christianity is obliteration. It's literally in the bible. That's the only way to coax the Jew god out of its slumber to "save" everyone—they all have to be oppressed and then die.

This is diametrically opposed to the native European mindset where gods may be real or they might not real, but every person is self-actualizing and in charge of their own destination. The most obvious example is Odinism, in that afterlife is assured but you have a 'choice' of destinations depending on what you do in life. Warriors go to Valhalla, cowards go to Hel. This promotes an active vibrant society. Meanwhile, Christians passively accept their fate, with only the most passive and weak being promoted to Heaven after death. This creates societal paralysis, with civilizations unwilling to act to save themselves. As we see today.
