Keep in mind that Blizzard made Classic out by exaustion and because they wanted the unofficialfags shekels. They will never allow retainers to prefer playing it too in the long run because in the end everyone would be forced to focus either here on retail. They've milked the game for an astounding period of time surfing on expansions. It's time they realized that they should make a new game, instead of modding the old one.
In this classic hype lies a yearning for the initial days of WoW when everything was new and fresh. The players want to re-experience the novelty of WoW, but Classic can only offer so much.
Indeed, I envy the simplicity of the people who were there from the beginning and are still playing. The fact that one is entertained by the same game mechanics for 15 years is truly something.
