why dont i see this used more often in gun debates? those whom are willing to give up their means of defense on the promise of police protection when they are specifically more worried about officer safety? There is no affirmative duty to protect. This has put pause on every person ive debated so far. A country cannot withhold an affirmative duty to protect while simultaneously removing the means by which the individual, whom is solely legally responsible for his safety, protects his self. It is a blatant attempt to make them toothless in the face of misfortune laid bare as an argument, but i never see anyone else use it.
