it could have been a fake quote since it was one of those things he said that was "recorded" by someone else in the bunker, or he was doing it for the sake of appeasing the japs who were butthurt about the germans and their racial ideology hurting their feelings. not joking, jap ambassadors were pressuring german diplomats to make racial concessions because japs back home were whining about german kids being mean to them.
