it's time to stop expecting politicians to save and take care of us. there's no hope in a broken system, people need to start breaking away entirely. left or right doesn't matter no one cares about your ideals or values and we're all equally fucked by those in power.
america is too big of a country and too divided at its core to keep it together anyway, the federal government needs to be dissolved and land needs to be redistributed amongst citizens with new country/state rights reigning supreme. peace negotiations and trade deals at the most. if american citizens could agree to and work on that instead of trying to force everyone in such a large area to cave to their ideals while simultaneously keeping a system in place that's only concerned with power over us and not our ideals (voting is just a division and pacification tool pay attention to issues like mass surveillance, militarization of police against citizens, invasions of privacy etc and so on regardless of left or right) we could maybe get somewhere and find some way for the people to be happier than those in power.
