Trump is pretty much useless at this point. His win in 2016 was a monumental victory for Heritage America, but it’s clear now that getting elected will be his greatest political achievement. I think he has some genuinely good instincts, but he’s too concerned with being liked to follow through on them. Trump’s an insecure guy, and insecurity won’t destroy the left — only savage ruthlessness will. Trump doesn’t have the stomach for that.

I feel like this stuff with Obama doesn't make sense, from a purely logical standpoint.
