henlo paintings user. got a question for you. does Atkinson Grimshaw's work so often have a yellowish cast to it due to damage or was that just the tone he used?

Good question. I used to do digital restoration of art in the 8pol art thread before the board got killed. Most old paintings develop a yellowish hue due to accumulation of mold and grime as well as deterioration of the paint. Most of Grimshaw's work is particularly decayed, possibly due to his peculiar technique, though the hue can be somewhat compensated for using digital white-balancing methods.
