>it will stabilize, don't worry
>poorer countries will just have to reach the same living standards as rich countries
>but we also need to pollute less, so living standards need to go down
>and we need the most educated and skilled people from poorer countries
>and we need to use the limited farmland left for producing biofuel, and developing housing for the people
Why the fuck aren't people realizing we're closing in on a Malthusian catastrophy in 15-30 years?
We're getting one billion more people each year. All the while the most productive black soil areas in the world are endangered by desertification (pic related). Environmentalists with absolutely no agricultural or engineering background keep ignoring the practical limits, and just say "science will fix it". Synthetic fertilizers are absolutely necessary to sustain a global population of over 4 billion, but we also need to pump up natural gas to make it.
And still, facing this massive food and energy shortage in near future, environmentalists do everything to worsen the situation:
>taking in shitloads of migrants, effectively stopping any natural reduction in the birth rate of the countries they leave, and stopping any population reduction in the countries they arrive to.
>phasing out nuclear power
>destroying farmland, and giving it to "nature", instead of implementing known farming practices that leave more carbon in the soil than it takes out
>advocating vegan diet, effectively abandoning grazing land that can't be used for growing crops, and takes a shitload of fossil fuels to grow and transport to areas where you really can't grow those crops
I'm glad the US and Russia has nukes. Hopefully they'll come to an agreement and fix it.
