And why is it used in mass shootings? Simple: the AR-15 is the most popular rifle in the United States, and is easy to get ahold of cheaply. AR-15 is an affordable platform with a lot of versatility, it's like saying why niggers kill each other with glocks, but then again nobody cares about that.

I think that Ar 15s should be banned since they are such a pussy rifle. Tight tolerances makes jamming a frequent phenomena unless you are in clean environments. .223 is a shit caliber. Throw on a simple plate carrier and you'll soak them up like a sponge with spilt mayonaise. .30-06 now that's a man's caliber. Get hit with those and plate carrier or not you're gonna be knocked over.
