While it's unfortunate that Epstein killed himself before the investigation could lead to anything, it's not unheard of for sexual deviants to have extreme mental illness or depression. His death was a clear suicide, and it would be foolish to blame any party other than Epstein. I think we can all agree it's good that scumbag isn't on earth to prey on children anymore. This won't stop conservatives from peddling asinine conspiracy theories about debunked Clinton assassinations

Prisons are literally designed to not have many places you could tie a rope to. Cells are even more so. Even in the cases of prisoners hanging themselves it's never in their cells.

Again prisons are diseigned to prevent suicide, especially by hanging. If you ever went to prison you'd know this. There are very few places you can tie a rope to. Cells are designed to just have flat walls with no curvature or stuff on the ceiling to hang stuff on to. And even then do you really think someone like Epstein, a rich man from the city, would just casually know how to tie a hangman's knot?

Sure not all prisons are up to modern standards but I'm not talking about those. Epstein was hold up in some 19th century remnant of a prison. The place he was at was up to protocol. And even then i really doubt a person like him, someone whose lived his whole life in the city, was filthy rich and had ties to a lot of influencial people, was also someone who just casually knew how to tie a hangamns noose. How many dudes do you know that can tie one, only people I know are guys who used to be in the boy scouts or grew up in the country.

You would THINK that in such a circumstance, an exception could be tolerated to have 24/7 surveillance so that this doesn't happen (which sows further distrust that the public had in our legal system), but noooooooooooo...

I want to know how the guy was allowed, AFTER BEING DECLARED A SUICIDE RISK, to have access to any materials that he could use to kill himself. I want to know who approved it, why it was approved, who was in charge of watching him throughout the night, why it took so long to discover his body... There's too much wrong with this. Either there's no auditing going on, or this smells of abuse of authority.
